Meadow Lake RCMP seize weapons, drugs and arrest 2 people

As part of their ongoing gang suppression and violence reduction strategy, Meadow Lake RCMP raided a home on 3rd Avenue West and seized weapons, drugs and arrested two people.

MEADOW LAKE – Meadow Lake RCMP continue their war on gangs. As part of their ongoing gang suppression and violence reduction strategy, they raided a house on the 3rd Avenue West on April 19 and seized weapons, drugs and arrested two people.

“The search warrant was the result of surveillance and other investigative techniques by the members,” the staff sergeant said. Ryan Comment.

According to the police, during their investigation, two suspects got into a car and fled from the police before being found and arrested.

RCMP have charged Kiera McKay, 21, and Brandon Campeau, 29, with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Campeau was also charged with fleeing from the police.

At the home, police seized cocaine, imitation firearms, large knives and pepper spray.

Both McKay and Campeau are due in court in Meadow Lake on April 21.
